Auditions
Auditions for the 2011-2012 season will be held on August, 22, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Lee's Summit High School.
If you are interested in auditioning, please submit a completed application by email to office@lssymphony.org, or by regular mail to PO Box 352; Lee's Summit, MO 64063. You will be contacted to schedule your audition time after we have received your complete application.
Members of the Lee's Summit Symphony must be high school graduates.

Mr. Russell E. Berlin, Jr. is in his ninth season as conductor of the Lee’s Summit Symphony. Russ Berlin presently serves as the music director and conductor of the Academy Orchestra Youth Symphony of Kansas City. Previously he spent 30 years teaching instrumental music in the Lee’s Summit, Mo. School District and is credited with building a national reputation for the Lee’s Summit Orchestral Program.
Mr. Berlin is the recipient of many awards recognizing his musical, educational and civic accomplishments. He received his BME from Kansas State University and his MME from Kansas University. Berlin also has completed advanced orchestral training at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
